Today was the perfect day. I was able to walk to a friends house and thus get in some needed exercise and then took a ride with her to her warehouse where she runs a non-profit feeding and clothing the needy in Mexico. I then met my family for lunch and now have plans to go out tonight to celebrate the New Year. We are so blessed in this country and I am grateful for so much.
Since I quit my job to be able to spend more quality time with my family it has me given more time to think as well and one thing I've noticed is that when you have your life priorities 'straight' it helps with your perspective. And when your perspective is clear...you see things differently. As opposed to when you are under a lot of stress and always in a hurry...one can forget what is most important to you. God, family, friends and the needy. If you haven't yet, take a look at http://www.hilariousgivers.org/ and if you have the chance volunteer some time or donate a few dollars to help out those who aren't as fortunate as we are on this side of the border. And the peace you feel as a result of knowing you did something good for someone else can really be more fulfilling than an hour in front of the television or a fast food meal. Happy New Years everyone!

Let's Talk About...
LET’S TALK ABOUT SELF DOUBT AND FEAR
All people have guides available to them to help them along their life’s path. Some can easily hear the ‘inner small voice’ from within and respond accordingly and do well. They lead a fulfilling life with purpose and meaning. Others have self doubt, fears and worries. They are simply afraid of not doing well. To them I say, it is not you but the spirit that flows through you that does the good work. Ego must be put aside and faith must propel you forward to do what is good. Love is your motivating force and with it you will let go of your fear. There is nothing more important. Let all your actions, all your duties and responsibilities be done as result of your desire to love. You are being encouraged to love one another via the skills and abilities and even your individual personalities you have been born with. Unleash them and take steps towards fulfilling your purpose and your mission on this earth.
Even if you feel as if you are only inching forward it is still forward and will be part of your growth. Think about how you feel when you are going forward as opposed to only sitting still. It feels good doesn’t it? Also, in order to have more peace about your goals and desires look at them more carefully. Is your goal simply a ‘thing’ and thus you have believed without question that this ‘thing’ or ‘event’ or ‘place’ will bring you the feelings you desire? Look more closely at the ‘feelings’ you desire and not so much the ‘thing’ you want to do or the ‘type of person’ you want to become. For example, if you have had your heart on becoming a published author because of the satisfaction and acclaim you believe you will receive…think instead of the feelings you are seeking. You want enjoyment from the satisfaction of knowing you published a good work. You are seeking the accolades from others in the publishing field that will tell you your work is good. Then you think you will feel that satisfaction and value as a published author. However, why not write your good work, enjoy the satisfaction of knowing personally it is an excellent work…and share with your closest friends. There! You feel the feelings and satisfaction you so desired, without the publisher’s nod of approval. You can get there on your own, you can share with whom you choose and need not wait for the approval of those whom you do not know. If some day and in some instances you do become published and recognized by others then so be it. However, realize that the satisfaction and value you feel for work well done or talent shared did not come from others or outside yourself. It came from you and it came from within!
